Jussie Smollet was released from jail yesterday after only a few days of serving his already minimal sentence. The reason? His lawyers declare the unconstitutionality of each step of the proceedings against him, and insist that Smollet will endure bodily harm if he remains behind bars while his case is up for appeal. Poor baby… As a retired Correctional Chaplain of a maximum security prison I am less than sympathetic. And why do I believe upon hearing of this development that Smollet’s case will be nullified and that he will be offered another Hollywood or TV role? And billable hours are assured…
What needs to change regarding this type of injustice? Lawmakers at both local and federal levels must make revisions in the legal code so as to reflect greater concern for the victims than for the criminal. It is an insult to the people of Chicago who suffered from an increase of criminal activity while Chicago’s finest were tending to this actor’s lying narrative. It is a wider insult to the people of this country as we view the pathetic “justice” of the Chicago system as one more example of preferring the criminal above the victim on the sole imagining that something just might happen to them while incarcerated.

CUOMO’S SELF-VALUATION – DOWNRIGHT INFLATIONARY…
Then we are treated to the Cuomo soap opera again, as the disgraced and dismissed (fired) Chris Cuomo wants $125 million and an apology from CNN. For some individual confronted with charges of the very behaviors he preaches against, and who has angrily demanded of Christians that we are to get out of public life with “Your Kind aren’t welcome here”, his post-termination valuation of his own self-worth seems a bit inflated. And We the People have grown beyond weariness with this “lottery winner” treatment of the sin-loving rich and famous becoming richer as they utilize the legal machine to extort even more as reward for their perfidy.
To fight back against this sort of rewarding the disgraced, we must hurt them in the wallet. After all, CNN’s weakness is not so much in its ratings decline, but in its sponsors. The operative word is “Boycott!”
EVERY BLM AND THE CROSS OF CHRIST
Yesterday Kevin and Neil at Every Black Life Matters posted a brief but excellent video concerning “CRT AND THE CROSS”, exposing the bedrock contradiction between Critical Theory and Christianity. The video is here:
