HYPOCRISY IN REPORTING – WHAT ELSE IS NEW?
Rebecca Beitsch of The Hill reported yesterday on the number of violent threats experienced by congressional lawmakers. And every threat that she mentioned was against a Democrat. Beitsch did not specifically mention any threats against other members of Congress or government officials.
The very publicized threats against President Trump from the likes of Madonna or the public lynching of a mannequin dressed to resemble Sarah Palin? Or even a Republican congressman who was shot at a congressional baseball game? No, mentioned not once.
If the Left does not want such threats then the answer is to face up to your own, your answer found in genuine contrition and amendment. Then stop making threats.
THE LAWYER, THE DEVIL, AND JACK PHILLIPS
The Jack Phillips saga has now persisted for ten years, and looks to persist in spite of his recent victory per the Supreme Court.
The culprit, or should I say demon, is still the lawyer Autumn Scardina. Yesterday, Joy Pullman of the Federalist noted an August, 2021, Alliance Defending Freedom post that reminded us of Scardina’s 2017 demand that Phillips bake a cake featuring Satan smoking marijuana on the top. Societal condemnation against Scardina and her ilk seems the sole immediate remedy for this LGBTQ harassment of Phillips and everyone else who dares to refuse their sick demands.
However, I wonder if some other community in some other state might welcome Phillips and his bake shop to one of their communities. His family might follow. The strategy here is to U-Haul your way out of the persecuting danger zone and allow Colorado and state like them suffer the loss.
