Last evening, the Associated Press reported that Biden will today call for “Free preschool for all 3 and 4-year-old children, another $200 billion worth of “human infrastructure” as part of the American Families Plan.
The article, entitled, “Biden to propose free preschool, a $200B investment”. by Lisa Mascaro and Josh Boak calls for providing federal funds to help the states offer preschool, with teachers and other employees earning $15 an hour.
The “free” part is of course someone’s imagination if not a deception, as is the idea that the plan “would benefit 5 million children and save the average family $13,000…” Aside from the fact that there is no such thing as “free” (even Biden admits that these ‘teachers’ are to be paid), there will no doubt be federal benefits for the new employees and additional administrative costs, as no federal program is itself ‘free’. The wording of funding going to the “states” will produce additional expenses as it moves through an additional bureaucracy. The inflationary consequences of more non-existent money in the economy as well as resulting higher prices are well known.
WHY EXPENDITURE OUGHT NOT BE OUR PRIMARY CONCERN:
Point #10 in the second chapter of Karl Marx’s Manifesto of the Communist Party calls for “Free education for all children in public schools…” We the People ought already be acutely aware of the consequences from government-run education as we witness critical race theory and transgender propaganda among others shoved down our children’s throats. But the article continues,
“These investments will give American children a head start and pave the way for the best-educated generation in U.S. history,” the administration said.”
A “head start” in what? Ibram Kendi’s “Anti-Racist Baby”? Kamala Harris’ “Superheroes Are Everywhere”? Or how about a few doses of “Drag Queen Story Hour??” Indeed, Mr. Biden, tell us how your administration seeks to instruct them.
Or why not get right to the point with Bini Adamczak’s “Communism For Kids”? Yes, that is one children’s book introducing our young to the tenets of Marxism. For a few citations from prominent socialists concerning the importance of children’s literature to Marxism, try this: https://www.marxists.org/subject/art/literature/children/index.htm
My point is simply that we do not know the content. But we are cognizant of the overall drift of government-run education toward further deconstruction, socialism and amorality.
Read the article for the Democratic designs on our preschool children. It seems that the Left cannot brainwash them early enough.
The Republicans need to develop a much better attack on Washington’s control of our educational system than feeble argumentation against “big government spending. In every case there must be demands to make manifest the content of that education, its potential effects upon our children and examination of its effects on the Republic.
Absent these, we ought to call for, no, demand:
- Return of the educational administration and operation to local control
- Mandatory charter schools reflecting the character and values of the locale
- A full voucher program so as to offer the widest possible choice and parental control over their own children’s education and development
- Mandatory reduction in size and scope of the federal Department of Education
- Restrictions on political activity of teacher’s unions, or their outright abolition.
- Mandatory testing and evaluation of each teacher as to their mastery of content and ability to present their specialty.
And absent these reforms:
Abolish the Marxist system of public education through a taxpayer revolt as massive in extent as it is unified in its resolve to preserve the lives and souls of our most cherished progeny and our posterity.
